This place has a spacious unit with a double jacuzzi, an excellent breakfast, and a comfortable king bed, and the very helpful staff are all around.

great choice for holiday. relaxing hotel with stunning location very close to the bay of sa riera and top-class staff with great service. location near an old monastery, the most scenic and the near beaches. plus, 5 minutes drive from begur castle.

We liked the peaceful location and private garden and the fact that it was close to a town and beaches.
Did not feel that the dining room had any ambience. It felt like a tunnel and we chose not to eat there although before arriving had planned on eating in the first night. they have a wonderful terrace with a bar area immediately behind it and it would be so much better if they put the bar where the dining room is presently!! Our only 'complaint'!

we stayed at the convent for my birthday on a 2 night 'special ' priced stay, because we loved the hotel so much we decided to stay another night. it was a lovely experience, we had never been to the costa brava before and were delightfully surprised by not only the natural coastline unhindered by high-rise apartments but also by the beautiful bays and beaches of the area.

Lovely staff who helped out with our requests, my pregnancy and early breakfast day of departure. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Lovely and quiet when there, which for us was great. Had wonderful massage too.
Ate in hotel first night, food was very salty to me. Could have done with more information on area regards to where supermarkets were and places to eat, times etc as we had to just go looking and most are tucked away and only open certain hours which would be difficault with children and when pregnant.

The hotel's breakfast was fantastic and included fresh fruit, croissants, cereals, eggs, and cheese. We spent 7 days in a deluxe room with a king bed, double jacuzzi, and an amazingly pleasant sleeping temperature. the location was perfect and there was free parking nearby. the area was tranquil, near a lovely beach, restaurant, and location.

Tranquility of the hotel. Very peaceful setting in a lovely historical building with beautiful grounds.
The waiter at breakfast was not very friendly!

the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. also, i thought the hotel grounds were very peaceful and relaxing - sitting next to the pool, scenic view, listening to the natural stream crackle - amazing.
the gym/sauna wasn't great, but it was functional.

Everything was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay. It was a marvellous location for us, near to neighbouring Begur, a hill and a beautiful valley between the delightful town of Begur.

Uncrowded, beautiful location and building, pool area, good food, generally very relaxing.
Quite a long walk back up the hill from the village and beach.

We loved how close this place was to El Convent, the beach, and the cliff top, and the free parking was a great bonus, the room was spacious with a large double bed.

Great situation, well positioned for exploring the surrounding area, beautiful garden and pool, it's simplicity and calm romantic atmosphere being a complete tonic for those not wanting to be in the middle of the usual holiday hype. However everything is close to hand, so one can dip in and out at will. Possible to walk to the beach. Plenty of hot water and comfortable beds with crisp clean white sheets. Excellent food, and helpful staff. Charming I loved it!
You will need a car if your sights are further than the Hotel. It is a good up hill walk to the Hotel from the beach especially in hot weather. Room furniture very basic, could have done with a few draws. Not all windows have a view out, some look onto rock, would have been nice to have been told about this, I asume this is why some rooms are cheaper?. We arrived about 4.30pm in the afternoon after travelling since 3am tired and hungry it was difficult to get anything to eat or drink at this time of day? I would not consider this an easy Hotel to be fully enjoyed by those unable to get about easily, it's situation being on a hillside.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
